Paid Internship for Olathe Northwest High School Video Journalist and Gamer – Alex Gabel

The topic was Veterans Day, and I happened across the video while doing a local web search. Interning Future

Alex is tasked to help the FMAGDC to improve content and engagement with the STEM students who compete in the Mobile App and 3D Video Game competition. Part of Alex’s work will leverage his video and journalism skills as he helps the competition media team craft stories of student winners around the country. He will also be conducting interviews with indie game developers, software industry people to build content for the FMAGDC site. He will be updating his own HTML skills as he helps to manage the competition website pages. Alex will be collaborating with other STEM career interns in Colorado and California.
“Our competition has been running since 2007, and we have years of winners, their games, videos of gameplay and other content we need to bring forward to our new website.” Mr. Waddell continues, “Alex will have plenty to keep him busy and his experience with us will be a story of growth he can add to his resume from this paid internship. Future Mobile App and Game Designer Challenge (www.futureappgame.com) is an app and game design and development competition for Middle and High School STEM students. This unique competition began in 2007 and incorporated a mobile app division in 2014. The competition is sponsored by the Support Learning Foundation.
