SkillsUSA 2016 – The Nationals in Louisville – Hanging out with the WebProfessionals.Org
The 2016 SkillsUSA Web Design competition ran like clockwork this year.
We (Web Professionals Competition Team) just keep getting better. Naturally, we fueled up on Louisville BBQ, coffee, and a few energy drinks and created an incredible experience for the secondary and post-secondary competitors.
Mark DuBois and Jonathan Worrent lead the charge this year, and I can honestly say things ran smooth. We were missing our long time cohort Bill Cullifer this year, and all missed him, but someone had to stay back in CA and kept the home fires burning.
Interviews done by the professionals.
Onsite interviews were handled by myself, and Christopher Hamm and we added to our crew, two new judges. David Jackson from Tekkii.com and Jonathan Miller from Unicoi County Tennessee. We were once again impressed with the caliber of competitors we see at Nationals.
If you have not had the chance to see a SkillsUSA event, then you need to add it to your bucket list. If you are in a SkillsUSA and don’t have anyone competing in Web Design – then you are missing out.
If you are a state director for SkillsUSA, and you don’t know us – then let’s become friends. We can help you with your state level competitions.
I had a great time and can’t wait till next year.
Have Fun – Steve
